About Magenta

Established as recently as 1991, Magenta is a coastal suburb between The Entrance and Noraville on the New South Wales Central Coast. It encompasses a large chunk of Wyrrabalong National Park and the Magenta Shores Golf & County Club, as well as untouched beaches where you can swim, surf and fish.

Things to do in Magenta

Golfers can enjoy a round on the 18-hole course at the Magenta Shores Golf & Country Club, which offers stunning ocean and bushland views from its well-maintained greens. While the first 9 holes overlook the Pacific Ocean, the back 9 holes sprawl alongside Wyrrabalong National Park. After your game, you can shop for accessories from leading golf brands at the Pro Shop or dine alfresco at Barretts Restaurant.

Scenic hiking trails meander through Wyrrabalong National Park, which preserves a patch of coastal rainforest on the edge of North Entrance Beach. Stretch your legs on the Lillypilly Loop Trail or explore along the Red Gum Trail while keeping your eyes peeled for eagles and kestrels. For a completely different perspective, take to the skies for a tandem parasailing experience with Cloudbase Paragliding.

For scenic views across The Entrance, head to the Pelican Beach Road Lookout, which is a popular spot for whale watching during the migration season between May and November. Descend to the sands of Pelican Beach for a swim or surf before strolling north to watch the fishermen in action at Pelican Point. Beyond Pelican Point is Soldiers Beach, a dune-backed crescent of sand that overlooks a world-class surf break.
